This is good old fashion cocktail bar. Excellent classic drinks at ok price - what else can you wish for? Ask a gin tonic and you get a goldfish bowl, superb! Normally it's us and other 50+ dudes, but still the staff is nice and welcoming.

Well, took a while before A dared to go into this bar... talking about mths! Living in gay district of BCN this logo can mean many different things...

La Bodegueta is a really nice tapas bar - pop in, have some beer or wine and tapas or two. Perfect stop while shopping around Passeig de Gracia - Rambla Catalunya area!

Cooler is recently opened cocktail bar specialized in coolers. It is also more "modern" than other cocktail bars around this area. My whisky cooler was nice, but E's rum something left space for improvement.

Name tells a lot, but not all - apart from great martinis, traditional and flavoured ones, they serve good selection of frappes and gin tonics as well. It is not the cheapest place, but the atmosphere is really nice and the service good: definately worth it!

If you like gin tonic, this is THE bar for you (and even if you don't, like A, this is a great spot).
XiX is a small gin bar, offering a variety of gin tonics that come in fish bowl like glasses.

What is a greater way to wish everyone Happy New Year than a post about a GREAT cava store?!?

Xampany really isn´t a supermarket style winestore, you go in, Mr.Cava then starts the show - for what purpose, for whom, what do you like, is food involved, etc... Then starts the trade show, several bottles are being introduced - and at the end 2 or 3 left to make the choice.
Price range: 7-50e/bottle, all quality!

A realized that he really likes good ice cream and il peccato freddo is definitely a place to get some! Good variety of ice creams, do try the dark chocolate one - VERY nice! ;)

Wine bar with good service

Last weekend BCNjoy found out a brand new wine bar, ánima3 - located in the small streets just behind Plaza Real. Service was good, prices Ok and variety nice = well worth visiting!

bubó is the dessert bar of well-known "chocolate chef" Carles Mampel in Born. It offers a good variety of cakes and other desserts at Ok price - also to take away.

Yesterday afternoon: +25C and sun from the clear sky... Time to introduce our favorite terrace. We have used it quite a lot - oh hmm - but not yet found any name for it, so thought "cats" would be Ok, due to pictures on the walls. It is just one block from Ramblas, but you´ll be amazed how much the atmosphere can change. This terrace offers easy-going atmosphere, nothing fancy but a place where you can escape for a moment from Ramblas!

A Casa Portuguesa is a nice little cafe, with a Portuguese twist, offering good selection of pastries (also to take away), they are also selling Portuguese products like cheese, wine (also port), etc.

Nice interior & good drinks

Visit offers nice bar to take a drink or two at the very center of the city - actually it consists of restaurant and bar, separated areas, offering bar food. Big white couches invite you to sit down and enjoy good selection of well-made drinks.

Nice but touristy cava-bar with a tapas twist. In the evenings (specially during the summer) the place is PACKED, so do come early or during the day - BCNjoy´s special recommendation: after the beach (very close by), few tapas and bottle of cava do wonders!
